Best present Dean ever got Sam for a long time was that library book, you remember the one, Sammy, about polar bears? Well, it kept him so happy that South Dakota July that when they up and moved back to Kansas Dean accidentally forgot to return it, and Sam dreamed of ice floes for months.

Dreaming of snowscapes in the middle of summer <3. Did Sam dream he was on that ice floe and he drifted off to the horizon? :D

I'm afraid I've been having a hard time finding much of myself left for internetly things. And I've had at least three fics sitting waiting to be revised for posting for some ridiculous amount of time. *fails*

The Coronation of Queen Gwen really does want to be written. All dark ambivalence and tiny sandwiches, the band she'd booked breaks up about ninety minutes before the ceremony, the King of Northumbria refuses to recognise her, and Morgause puts a curse on all the tiny vodka jellies. Gwen knows her father would be very proud of her, this day, but it's a bitter thought, all things considered. She substitutes fresh fruit for the jellies.

Ah, yes, tackling the RL beast. Kick it hard, conquer it well! <3

Ahaha, is this Sir William's band? You know the lute player only joined it so he could get with groupies. They spend most of rehearsal arguing about what they should be called instad of picking up their instruments. The vodka jellies begin to attack the wedding cake, because of course it would. Merlin discovers that even more effective than magicking the jellies normal, is to eat them. This leads to more complications.

A soul can be bent, broken, twisted and warped and tempted beyond all recognition, but it cannot be destroyed; Anna knows this, deep in her heart where she knows the Alleluia and the light of Grace, and so when Ruby dies by her own knife it does not take her long to track down the Reaper: "Tessa," she says, "I call you by your human name as you call me by mine, and I ask you for your help in finding another, who was human once and will answer to that name still: I ask you for the path that goes Beyond."

This is what AUs are for, I guess XD. What happens to demons when they die? They don't just go to hell again, no? Do they just... disappear from existence? Is Ruby in some place you can only get to by wormhole?

Ruby's 'reveal' in the S4 finale made me go, "...wut," because I mean!!! I don't feel like the writers have been building to it at all! They pulled this out of nowhere! They pulled this out of their ass because apparently the fanbase hates Ruby? Or something?! Didn't you feel like the natural conclusion of this would be for Ruby to be GOOD and for Dean to realize that he should maybe stop being a judgmental asshole?

On the other hand. I guess I like that Ruby won? :-/ But I feel like this is another trick! Like how were saying Bela's trauma was pastede on yey. Ruby's victory too. Like, "okay we're gonna get rid of these chicks now, but here's a reason why they're also cool". Too little too late, show!

Sometimes I read futurefic written in S4 and it's about Sam/Ruby + Dean/Cas HEAs and it puts such sad hearts in my eyes, Wyrm, oh I wish it could be that way. Ruuuuuubyyyyyyyyyy.

They must still exist, because ghosts seem to go On after they get de-ghosted, so...presumably also demons! I mean, if it is impossible to completely kill of a human LIKE I BELIEVE IT IS POSSIBLE TO DO IT TO AN ANGEL OR A DEMON.

Ruby is in the other world! Beyond! You get to it through a gate of ivory or one of horn! Getting down there is easy, it is coming back out that's the difficult part!

Ruby's reveal made me go OMFG YOU ARE SO SHITTING ME. They have built to it NOT AT ALL. Ruby never lied, she never gave us any reason for her to be all pro-Lucifer and pro-apocalypse, her demon blood drug thing was creepy but didn't seem to be doing any harm until SUDDENLY Sam goes all ridiculous and she goes all evil and then MONOLOGUES OVER IT ALL WTF.

AND I thought it dropped the whole "sometimes the monsters are not monsters" plot LIKE A ROCK. It would be like if in HP7 Rowling was like "Psych! Harry was right all along in his belief that Snape was evil!" Um, Dean, MAYBE YOU SHOULD STOP BEING SUCH A BRAT. (I have been told this will get pulled up again with Crowley, with different results? OH GREAT, ANOTHER WHITE GUY, I AM GLAD WE HAVE A WHITE GUY ON THE SIDE OF GOOD.)

My theory, though, is that this was not pro-apocalypse at all. Ruby has her own agenda! She wants to be queen of hell! Who is above her?! Lilith and Lucifer. But she couldn't take out Lucifer while he was locked up, so she kills Lilith and lets him out and quickly monologues her evil: "I am THE EVILEST, my lord! You should totally trust me! I am the Bellatrix to your Voldemort! No one knew I was totally loyal except Lilith, who is conveniently dead so you can't check, so there is no reason to listen to lies about my actually being the Snape to your Voldemort! SO EVIL. SO, SO EVIL."

But that is probably not canon :(, and I totally agree that this is just like Bela. "Here, we killed these ladies so our leads could go have their stories, but have like five seconds of backstory. Oh, and they're both only doing what they do 'cause of a man. What, you don't think that's totally feminist?!" And, okay, she won, but that makes how many ladies in this show who win by...dying for the guys in their lives? Mary, Ellen, Jo, Lilith, Ruby...
