Overdue ducttape!fic for [livejournal.com profile] zehara. Sorry it took so long, Billie. Thanks again for the VCD and I hope you like this fic, even with its lack of honey and disco balls. (I tried, I tried, I really did. I’ll get them someday.)

[...if you're already surrounded by dreams...]

To give you an idea of how long I’ve been working on-again-off-again on this thing, here’s a link to the challenge that initially inspired it. I think I actually fulfilled it, except for the time limit. I divided the fic into two parts because it's long. Major big props to [livejournal.com profile] anjali_organna because not only did she keep it cool when she found 17 pages in her inbox, but she did an awesome beta too. Thanks very much, Anjali.

So yeah, you better read it.

I drabbled. Thrice. The first two drabbles contain incest, so be warned.

[livejournal.com profile] zehara, the BDS drabble is for you, because don't think I've forgotten. I've not forgotten, I'm just a bum, and that drabble is only the beginning. I apologize for being a tardy 'tard; feel free to send me drop-kicks through the mail. :(

./splice update

I updated my website. The following sections now exist under 'Fandoms': Boondock Saints, From Dusk Till Dawn, Murder By Numbers, The Faculty, along with new fics under Fight Club and Harry Potter. A specific list of the new fics can be found behind the LJ-cut, AKA Meme Yoinked From [livejournal.com profile] pogrebin.

New fics, w/ brief commentary on each. )

MAMBO #1: I'm gonna get my recs page off the ground. The proper etiquette is to ask the authors whether they want to be recced, no? I've gone and done that for some of the fics already. The page would link back to their site or their LJ post, of course. But, permission is the way to go?

MAMBO #2: If any of you guys would rec me some Sirius Black gen, I'd be very much obliged. Yes, gen, not even Sirius/Remus, no matter how canon you say it is. Or at least a fic that's not centered on romance, especially romance among the Marauders. ...Please?

Whoooooo's got the crack?

GIP. Franky Four Fingers from Snatch, made from one of [livejournal.com profile] teh_indy's screencaps. It's, like... my calling card icon. So I kicked Jordan Catalano out of the round-up, but I reckon that maybe he, or at least some incarnation of the show, might be making a comeback once I get with the MS-CL fic.

OC, BDS, O11, BBQ, OMG, WTF, FBI

Once Upon a Time in America. PG-rated rootlessness. Written for the lyrics challenge.

So I finally got around to watching The OC. (Word up, Kazaa.) I'm rocking the Sandy Cohen love. From the fics I read I thought I'd be rocking the Seth love, and he is loved, but Sandy gets the lion's share. Hee.

Canon!Seth is less spastic than I thought he'd be. That's what I get for absorbing fanon before canon.

The other day I saw The OC soundtrack at Rockwell and that's just o_O;, 'cos they don't even air the show in this country.

Mutant plot bunny of the day: Boondock Saints/Ocean's 11. 'Cos Danny and Rusty are dirty, rotten thieves who need to be loved punished, perhaps with leather struck down by the righteous vengeance of the Lord.

[...it's the chair or a lifetime of sodomy and we won't even get to choose...]

So. Apparently my Connor is verbose when distraught, provided that the distress has nothing to do with sex with Murphy, in which case he usually gets broody and stares at things a lot.

Below is my fic for the BDS Secret Easter Bunny Challenge. The fic had to be on a bridge. Extra points are awarded if I incorporate cut-offs, ballpoint pens, and Ayn Rand. The lyric was "Don't make me live for my Friday nights/drinking eight pints and getting in fights" from Jamie Cullum's 'Twentysomething', so I respected Mr. Cullum's wishes and didn't do anything of the like. Hope you like it, [livejournal.com profile] kadyn.

New York, New York. And a ficlet.

My first post in this LJ recced his X2 fic, New Amsterdam, and now [livejournal.com profile] vagabond_sal is back with its sequel: A Topographical Survey of the Island of Manhattan. If you're a fan of movieverse!Pyro, read it. If you're a fan of New York City, read it. If you're a fan of phrases like "it had nothing to do with temperature, really, only the body slowly dying degree by degree" and "her fingers traced lazy circles around his and Bobby's wrists, like bracelets etched by touch", read it. He's left us before, ladies and gentlemen, but he's back. He's so back he never even left in the first place.

[livejournal.com profile] lux__aeterna wrote a Boondock Saints/Gossip crossover too. Graceful with an understated cool, like all her stuff, so won't you read it? 'Cos, y'know, a world with multiple Norman Reeduses is a way cooler world than the one I'm in...

...especially in my current state. This next piece is an offering to the gods in hopes they will stop the Niagara Falls that is my nose. Also: fluff for [livejournal.com profile] olukemi. Told you I could do it.
*kisses*
*transmits germs*

The title's, like, longer than the fic or something.

[...fearful reverence and a terrible, terrible hope...]

Boondock Saints/Gossip crossover intended for [livejournal.com profile] bds_drabble's crossover challenge, but then someone let the word count out of its cage and it pissed all over the furniture before running out the door and disappearing into the woods.

Travis of Gossip is an artsy geekboy and, through some mad twist of fate, the exact body double of Murphy MacManus. This story happens after Gossip, after Boondock Saints.

This story happens after a lot of things.

Don't look at meeeeeee I'm hiiiiiideoooouuuus!

I HATE YOU, INTERNET CONNECTION.

Actually no. Me and internet connection are actually totally OTP, kind of, ‘cos my love and hate for it is equal, though I admit that my love sometimes wins out. The internet connection, however, is indifferent and caters to the whims and pleasures of many people around the area, oftentimes having no time for me. I’m not sure why it needs to share itself with so many people. I wish it wouldn’t but I guess that’s just the way things are. I am hurt when it leaves me, but I forgive it, every time. Every time I see it stagger back, I’m only too happy and relieved for its return. I love it, I hate it, and sometimes that makes me think I am at least a little mad. Ourloveissofullofissues!

Okay, enough of that.

A rec, some icons, and a rambling thought. Hell, they're all rambling thoughts.

I'll be keeping my eye on [livejournal.com profile] troy_rps in weeks to come. On a side note, Eric Bana/Orlando Bloom is apparently the new Monaboyd.

Anyway.

Icons. I'm going through an icon-making thing. I've been making icons. Do you want to see my icons? They are Boondock Saints icons. Yes. I managed to make 4 that I was happy with before I ran out of steam.

look look look )

Also thinking of redesigning my layout. Align the text boxes to one side, add a background graphic, stuff like that. Maybe a Boondock Saints theme, or something generally multifandom. Requiem For A Dream, maybe, because although I'll probably never write fic for it, I've got some pretty Requiem graphics that I've been wanting to put to use. Hmm. Suggestions?

Okay, so maybe just one lollipop.

Okay, there are no lollipops.

...I have just been informed there are no shirts either.

Aphorism. Boondock Saints drabble. Written for [livejournal.com profile] contrelamontre's 'fire' challenge and [livejournal.com profile] bds_drabble's 'fight' challenge. Connor/Murphy, PG13.

Good Intentions. Harry Potter drabble. OMFG I wrote Harry Potter. Who'd a thunk? I'm back, I'm back. So, I tried to write Padma/Parvati but that turned out to be a false alarm. So maybe I'm not as back as I thought. Anyway. Implied Draco/Harry, and after just replying to McTabby's poll with 'Harry/Draco' as my one dislike, too. The gods are funny that way.
You may notice 'Good Intentions' isn't posted under this account. A long time ago before this account came to be, all my fics were posted in what is now my RL journal. A long time ago, my RL journal got posting access to [livejournal.com profile] hpdrabble and I'm too lazy to fight for [livejournal.com profile] lassiterfics's posting access. So. That is Why.

Anyway.

Everyone's Irish on St. Paddy's Day!

This is absolutely heartwarming. Some random shopkeeping nobody in Hertfordshire wrote a screenplay that Disney bought for US$1 mil. He originally wrote the story for his two sons. Aww. Hurrah for the random shopkeeping nobody (whose name is Clive Woodall, just by the way)!

This is thoroughly amusing. Which one of you was talking about Faramir singing showtunes again?

And now for something sans adverbs: Happy St. Pat's, ya'll.
