DID YOU KNOW that out of the 16344 fics tagged on the bbc_merlin directory, 5513 are Merlin/Arthur fics? That is 33.7%. A third of all Merlin fic production on Livejournal! I guess this is no surprise.

Things I no longer know: whether 'normativize' is a word. Normatize? Normalize is different, no?

IN RELATED NEWS:

Livejournal made a cameo on the new 'Secrets and Magic'. This is HILARIOUS BEYOND THE TELLING OF IT. They knoooooooow! Are you there, Angel Coulby?! It's me, Lassiter! WANNA MAKE OUT? I also accept cash donations. Please give generously.

CURRENT MOOD :
+ So I turned in my paper about my thoughts on yaoi, and the title is now even more fitting because my outline was so thick that by the time I finished blithering about RaceFail and Merlin fandom, I reached the suggested page maximum. I didn't even need to talk about Narnia's Problem Of Susan anymore, and it's almost a shame because my friend bought me the Pocket Companion to Narnia for Christmas and I was looking forward to using it. OH WELL.

+ My subscriptions on greader have become flimsy excuses to be spammed by pretty pictures. Quite possibly I spent some time procrastinating on Made of Gold going jfklsjfljsdfsd at every other photo, especially this Angel and this Bradley. Is it time for a Merlin rewatch of fast-forwarding to all the parts where Arthur and Gwen make sexy eyes at each other? Perhaps.

+ Plot Bunny #4398: Modern day AU, Arthur/Gwen/Lancelot in an uneasy polyamorous arrangement on an extended vacation somewhere. Ennui and colorful drinks on white-sand beaches. Part travelogue and part displaced emotions, with liberal amounts of sexytimes.

+ Plot Bunny #5840: Futurefic, post-battle Arthur/Morgana. Some excuse for a quiet moment in which a weary Morgana, all decked out in armor, leans back against a tree and closes her eyes. Then she and Arthur have a Moment, and then there are sexytimes.

+ Don't I have enough WIPs? Don't I need to eat these leftover fortune cookies and croissant and watch some TV? The answer is yes.

+ AHAHAHA wut. 'Bromance' has its own Wikipedia page. "Aristotle described a concept similar to the bromance as early as 300 BCE."
