fic: slipping off the map (dean smith, 2014!cas; pg13)

spn_summergen reveals are up! To my surprise and delight, I ended up writing for jaimeykay, who gave some really wonderful prompts. (Check them out in the free-for-all.) I would've been happy to write any number of them, but this one caught my eye in particular.

I was reading Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead during the writing process, so even while I was editing, I couldn't help but parse Dean Smith and 2014!Cas's story through this lens. It's pretty much what Dean Smith and 2014!Cas are - accessories to someone else's plot, left to deal with the consequences of the story long after their cameos are over. ...In retrospect, that probably would've made a better summary than what I actually put down. OH WELL.
